Having our home listed with a Realtor for over a year wasn’t working, the house needed repairs and buyers were not interested.

We had fallen behind on the mortgage payments, and our financial situation was getting worse. We try to do a loan modification, but the bank offered to put all the fees at the end of the loan. 

In 20 years, were going to own more then what we bought the house for initially. We purchased our home at the pick of the market, and we didn’t see a way out since the house was underwater.
